Kavya Madhavan was born in the village of Nileshwaram in Kannur district, Kerala. Her father P. Madhavan is an accountant and mother Shyamala a house wife. She has one brother Mithun, who is doing his post graduation in fashion designing in Australia. She started to learn dance while in High School. She was a Kalathilakam in a Sub District Schools Youth Festival. The title is bestowed on artists who prove their skills in most artistic fields.

"Kavya entered the industry as a child artist in the film Pookkalam Varavayi (1991) in the role of a school girl. She came to public attention when she played the childhood part of the heroine character in Kamal's Azhakiya Ravanan (1996). She has since acted in over 50 films in Malayalam and a few in Tamil. She is noted for having retained her typical malayali look. Now kavya is known as Malayalam's own heroine. She embodies the typical Malayali woman look.Her pairing with Dileep was a sure success and they were considered as the most successful pair.

Kavya Madhavan got married with “Nischal Chandran” on 5th of February, 2009 at “Kollur Mookambika” and both hosted an impressive welcome party for their friends who belongs to the film society at “Le Meridien” in Ernakulam. The last movie of Kavya Madhvan was “Ee Pattanathil Bhootham”.

Now the issue about Kavya Madhavan is that whether she has divorce of not? However, there is no official statement yet issued about the confirmation of divorce from her family but according to the resources close to them, the wedding is in danger and Kavya Madhavan returned back to Kochi, she joined “Nischal Chandran” in Kuwait and and now is living with her parents.
The family of Kavya Makhavan hired a foremost lawyer and filed a petition for divorce added by the resources. It should be kept in mind that when Kavya Madhavan was at the climax of her film career then she wedded to Nischal Chandran. While Nischal Chandran is unsuccessful actor and Kavya was torturing mentally by his mother due to an affair of Kavya with a top “Malayalam” actor.
Kavya Madhavan begin her film career as a baby artist in “Mammootty’s Azhagia Ravanan” and her most recent release was also conflicting Mammootty in “Pattanathil Bhootam”.

Kavya Madhavan divorce: marriage photos

As per the latest news reports, actress Kavya Madhavan has decided to seek divorce, it is a matter of time not, she already started the divorce procedure at the the family court in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

On 5th February 2009 Kavya Madhavan and got married with Nishal Chandra at Kollur Mookambika. They also arranged a grand reception for their friends from the film fraternity at Le Meridien in Ernakulam.

Even Kavya announced that she would leave acting to settle in her family life. Her last movie was Ee Pattanathil Bhootham. After marriage, she went to Kuwait to Kavyastay with her husband.

Presently for the past one month Kavya is staying at her house in Ernakulam . However as per internal sources, she had been advised by her advocate that at least one year separation is required for filing divorce petition. The actress has not been available to comment on this news.

But according to the actress family, Kavya has been cheated. The brother of her husband also got married the same way and eventually divorced his wife later, it appears to be a common practice of the family.
